In a learner-centered community the teacher takes charge. Learner-centered instruction falls into this category. It is important to create an atmosphere that is welcoming, pleasant, and safe for your students. You must model what it looks like to be in an environment like this. The teacher has many different roles in learner-centered instruction. They are the coaches, facilitators, and managers of their classroom. They have to direct their students, problem solve, support, encourage, correct, and communicate with their students in order for this learner-centered instruction to occur effectively.
